Application of air quality sensors in atmospheric environmental monitoring

    In recent years, my country's ecological environment construction has been moving towards refinement and intelligence through the application of sensor and big data technologies. In my country, the widespread use of sensors has enabled inspectors to collect data, even at low cost. This significant increase in data volume will allow for faster and more accurate decision-making and response in various situations.

    Many local ecological environment departments are applying new technologies such as the Internet, big data, and artificial intelligence to explore environmental governance models, innovate environmental supervision methods, and implement refined management and precise pollution control.

    For example, in response to severe air pollution, they are exploring the establishment of a grid-based monitoring method and system for air pollution hotspots. Using satellite remote sensing and big data analysis technologies, they are selecting "hotspot grids" to assist in law enforcement inspections, thereby improving the accuracy of environmental supervision.

    By dividing cities and surrounding areas into grids, and comprehensively analyzing data from satellite remote sensing, ground air quality monitoring, meteorology, and air pollution sources, they are using big data inversion technology to determine the concentration of harmful gases in each grid. Combined with the distribution of air pollution sources in various regions, the grids with the highest concentrations and heaviest pollution emissions are selected as air pollution hotspot grids, thereby improving the scientific and precise level of air pollution prevention and control.

    Currently, the air pollution hotspot grid monitoring system uses micro-stations for automatic air monitoring, employing multi-sensor information fusion technology. By installing various gaseous environmental monitoring sensors such as PM2.5, PM10, SO₂, NO₂, CO, and O₃ at meteorological monitoring stations, comprehensive and real-time monitoring of the atmospheric microenvironment is achieved.
